《传动技术》是一份关于国际综合性新技术的定期刊物，一年出版四期，定于每年的三月、六月、九月和十二月期，本刊物是由中华人民共和国上海交通大学和西德ZF公司共同主办的。
本刊物致力于促进有关汽车传动技术革新方面具有国际水平的信息交流，其主要内容包括：变速箱的设计、制造、新研究成果、新经验、新发明、新动向、新的传动技术和新产品这几个方面。
本刊物旨在为那些从事于设计、研究、生产和管理的人员提供服务。同时由于它用两种文字出版，故能提供国际间相互了解。

The DRIVE SYSTEM TECHNIQUE is a new international comprehensive technical journal to be published by a fixed schedule basis. Planned for 4 issues a year, March June, september and December. The journal is under the joint sponsorship of Shanghai Jiao Tong university of people’s Republic of China and the Zahnradfabrik Friedrichshafen AG of Germany.
The journal is devoted to encourage information exchange at the international level, relating to “Drive System Techniques” used in the automotive industries, with the following subjects: transmission design, manufacturing, new achievements of research, new experiences, new innovations, new trends, new drive system techniques and new products as main interest.
The journal primarily aims to serve persons working in engineering, research, production as well as in management and because of its bilingual edition serves to education in international understanding.
